I finally finished a baby quilt that I plan on giving to my cousin's newest baby. I completed my first one after purchasing this beautiful peach pre-printed quilt pattern from a store in Lewisburg, PA called "The Beckoning Cat." Of all things, this little shop in downtown Lewisburg specializes in fabric from Japan. I thought I would try making a quilt after seeing other people do it. I realized it's not that easy. Even a machine pre-printed quilt requires a lot of work and tools in order to create a treasure. Sewing satin is also a quite a chore trying to make ends meet and not sliding around. I also don't know how many pin pricks I have from trying to sew while unpinning the fabric. The yellow quilt is a big improvement from my first one but I'm not sure if I'm going to do this again.
